Comedian John Bishop travels to the forests of Rwanda to come face to face with the indigenous gorilla population and the people who have dedicated their lives to protecting them. He joins the Gorilla Doctors, a group of vets who work tirelessly to protect the 880 mountain gorillas left in the wild. It can be dangerous work, especially when a huge silverback male gets protective over an infant the team try to treat, but John soon finds that he shares a lot in common with the mighty creatures.
