The documentary series explores the stories behind events and figures involved in the American Revolution and the country's founding. Historical re-enactments and analysis from historians and other experts are used to bring viewers details about the topic discussed in each episode. Topics covered include biographies of founding fathers Alexander Hamilton and George Washington in addition to such events as the Boston Massacre, and Washington crossing the Delaware River.
