Family is the key to competing in National Little Britches Rodeo Association events. The rodeos are designed for kids aged 8-18, but members of the children's families are involved to provide the best possible experience for the young competitors. To help prepare the youngsters for the contests the older relatives attend professional rodeo clinics with them and chauffeur them from one competition to the next. Learning rodeo at an early age is all part of the NLBRA's mission, which is represented by its slogan, "where legends begin," which it has lived up to by helping to kick-start the careers of such rodeo notables as Ty Murray and Kristie Peterson.
