The rise and fall of gangsters such as Charlie "Lucky" Luciano, John Gotti, Carmine Galante and Vito Genovese are revealed, including how the FBI developed techniques to finally crack the mob. An episode also features former FBI agent Joe Pistone, who infiltrated the mafia for six years as Donnie Brasco, leading to more than 100 convictions.
