There are some baseball players whose names are so iconic that just about everyone knows something about them -- even if they played before most modern fans were born. This series, narrated by Emmy-winning actor Martin Sheen, profiles several such Hall of Famers whose names are familiar not only to fans of the sport but also people outside of the baseball world. Each hourlong episode profiles a legend of the diamond, using commentary from journalists, academics and sports figures to take an in-depth look at the history, psychology and mythology of each player. The profiled players include Hank Aaron, Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig and Ted Williams.
