1684. John Martin is on trial for his life. Facing him, the infamous `hanging Judge', George Jeffreys. This is not a cut and dried murder case, however. Because the innocent young girl Martin is said to have killed has been seen after her death, her accusing finger, rotted, like the rest of her, in a fetid local pond, is pointing right at the defendant.
