Alex, Marty, Melman and Gloria are grounded; as they were getting ready to leave the island, King Julien burned up their escape balloon, thinking it was a UFO. He takes aim at another UFO, only to find that he has shot down Santa. Now someone must deliver the presents to the children of the world. Alex volunteers the group for the job, so the quartet gets to work, planning to take Santa's sleigh to New York when they finish.
