Pawnbrokers can be presented with a vast range of items, from a luxury car to jewellery or priceless heirlooms. The series also explores the risks faced by customers, such as high interest rates, and the risks faced by pawnbrokers, who must determine if items are real or fake, and estimate their true worth if they are to be sold on for a profit.
