A two-part adaptation of John Meade Falkner's novel, 'Moonfleet' tells the tale of a band of smugglers led by Elzevir Block and the efforts of young John Trenchard to join them. Orphan John longs for wealth, hoping that amassing a fortune will allow him to be with his first love, Grace, who is also the daughter of Moonfleet's anti-smuggling magistrate, Mohune. The hunt for a fabled lost diamond takes the gang from 18th-century Dorset to the jewel quarter of The Hague and out to a gripping, final sea voyage.
