This three-part series details Eric and Ernie's efforts to break into the American market during the 1960s, making many trips across the Atlantic over a five-year period to appear in American variety shows in New York. Their attempt to hit the big-time in the States is less well-known than much of their other work, and this series includes footage of their performances never before seen in the UK. Presented by Jonathan Ross, this is an affectionate look at two of British comedy's most familiar faces, and an exploration of their working relationship with some of their personal photographs, home film and memorabilia of the time.
