Ted is a salesman whose life is defined by his worry-wart nature, the latest worry being the fate of his job. So to impress his boss, Ted organizes a big barbecue at his home, and no detail is left undone to ensure complete success. However, a seemingly inconsequential encounter on his property with a female gang member leads to a series of events that has Ted facing prosecution for false imprisonment and assault. Determined to make amends, Ted sets out to do what he thinks is right, but his actions only make the situation tragically worse.
