Everyone would like to take a dream vacation that is planned by travel experts, friends and family, but not many people get that opportunity. In each episode of "Operation: Vacation," one selfless, deserving person receives the surprise of a lifetime by being taken on such a dream excursion. Hosts Karl Schmid and Claire Newell travel to the recipient's home or workplace -- along with a group of family and friends who nominated the person -- to deliver the news about the dream getaway. The show then brings viewers highlights of what happened on the trip.
