If only life imitated sport, with its well-defined rules and clear-cut outcomes, Pete Griffiths' life would be a home run. As it is, the struggling young sports journalist can't win when it comes to life's intricate problems, lacking the emotional maturity needed to deal with adult relationships and responsibilities. That's why Pete loves sports so much - it allows him an outlet to escape his issues. But he can't hide forever. His every move is commented on by two sports pundits - anchor man Colin King and former international footballer Terry McIIroy - who discuss and analyse Pete's domestic cock-ups with accompanying statistics, on-screen graphics and slow motion replays.
