During the time when dinosaurs still roamed the planet, an alien gave powerful Energems to 10 of the giant creatures. After the dinosaurs became extinct, the Energems were lost... but not forgotten. An intergalactic bounty hunter, Sledge, has now made it his mission to reclaim the items and rule the universe, while destroying the planet in the process. It's up to a new team of Rangers to locate the Energems before Sledge can get his hands on them to save the world. The new Rangers are led by free-spirited adventurer Tyler Navarro, who is determined to solve the mystery of his father's disappearance. The others in the group include skateboarding New Zealander Chase, prehistoric caveman Koda, strong-willed Shelby and confident-but-quiet Riley.
