The last few years have taken a toll on Catherine, who has had to see her father, a prodigal mathematician slowly lose his mind to a mental illness before dying. Now, she is being forced by her sister to Claire to leave the family home while an ambitious student is rummaging through her father’s notes, his lasting legacy, to continue on his work. Among all this tension, Catherine cannot help but feel like she might crack and lose her sanity, something she wants to avoid at all costs.
