Montreal's Groupe Fiatlux-Ampleman, or GFA, is one of Canada's most popular pyrotechnics groups. "Pyros" follows GFA's leader, Maude Furtado, and her team as they crisscross the globe to put on complex, unusual and often extraordinary displays at world-class events and competitions. In this business of working with unpredictable and explosive components, mishaps are not only costly for the company, but also potentially life-threatening to the crew. During their travels, members of GFA face uncooperative weather, public humiliation and the ever-present threat of injury in order to be the best in the business.
