Ecotourism and "voluntourism" -- giving back while traveling -- are among the new forms of vacations featured. Host Robert Rose connects with colorful locals while traveling to off-the-beaten-path locations throughout the world to showcase activities that include adventure sports, underground culture and local traditions. In addition to being more affordable than traditional vacations, this type of travel can also spur growth and fulfillment that reward people and change lives.
