This series follows Richard Wilson as he travels around the UK in his vintage 1960s Daimler. Without a satellite navigation system to guide him, Wilson relies on some 1930s Shell Guides to point him in the right direction. On his driving tour he rediscovers the history of Britain's towns and villages and samples the famous puddings of Buxton and Bakewell before exploring the mining history of County Durham.
