At its start, this comedy-drama follows successful London couple Davina and Al Jackson, who, like their friends, struggle with sexual temptation and professional jealousy. Things are not easy for the couple who are in their 60s. Their 30-year-old son, Orlando, will not acknowledge adulthood, and the couple are intimidated by the apparent confidence shown by Davina's sister, Veronica, and her husband while Davina and Al struggle. The second series focuses on Davina attempting to start her new life as a widow following Al's death. Davina struggles to cope with life alone and a sister who blames her for everything that has happened.
