"Shotgun Red Variety Show" is like "The Ed Sullivan Show" meets "Hee Haw," according to RFD-TV. If you can wrap your head around that combination, you have an idea of what the half-hour program is about. Hosted by Shotgun Red -- a puppet who appeared on "Hee Haw" for 10 years -- along with (human) co-hosts Steve Hall and Miss Sheila, the variety presentation features acts across North America that include singers, dancers, magicians and other types of performers. The show is recorded on the General Jackson Showboat in Nashville, and all of the acts are backed by The Shotgun Red Band.
