In this 21st-century update of the Arabian tale, after being banished from his homeland and put under a curse (by his own grandmother) for a killing that led to his brother's death, Sinbad is cast out to sea on a ship called the Providence, where he is forced to band together with his fellow shipmates to face their inner demons, loves and fears. The hero ultimately embarks on an epic, emotional quest to rid himself of the curse and embrace his destiny.
