This observational documentary follows Griff Rhys Jones as he travels around Africa via railway. The presenter takes an unhurried journey to explore the continents' beautiful landscapes, abundant wildlife and extraordinary people. Five train trips covering a 7,000-mile distance take Rhys Jones to Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia and South Africa. The episodes capture aerial photography as well as experiences on and off the trains. On the first leg of the tour, Griff journeys to Morocco and samples sweet pastries, meets a souk selling Berber medicines and learns about the art of leather-making.
