The four-part drama, penned by award-winning writer Tony Grisoni, features stage and screen stars Rory Kinnear (`Black Mirror'), Eddie Marsan (`Tyrannosaur'), Shirley Henderson (`Anna Karenina') and Sean Harris (`Prometheus'), among other talent. It tells the story of a fictional market town called Southcliffe that, over the course of one horrific day, is changed forever by an inexplicable chain of events. Themes of grief, responsibility and redemption are explored through the eyes of David Whitehead, a journalist returning to the small town where he grew up, and those closest to the victims of the tragedy. As the violence and sudden bereavement create difficult-to-understand emotions for Southcliffe's residents, their resilience is given the ultimate test.
