BBC Sports Personality of the Year is an annual ceremony, held every December, honouring talented sportsmen and women. Gary Lineker, Clare Balding and Gabby Logan host the event, where 16 nominees, for the main award, await the result. Previous winners are Andy Murray, Lewis Hamilton and Bradley Wiggins. Several awards are presented over the night including, ` A Lifetime Achievement Award', ` Young Sports Personality of the Year' and the `Unsung Hero Award'.
