Detective Inspector Martha Bellamy leads a team of three detectives in London who are tasked with investigating crimes that range from missing persons to murder and child abuse. Bellamy's team includes DS Jack Weston, who is able to tell almost immediately whether a suspect is lying or telling the truth, and DC Charlotte 'Charlie' Steele, a passionate but level-headed officer with a keen eye for detail. 'Suspects' is a largely improvised crime drama that is shot in the style of a fly-on-the-wall documentary.
