For the 56th year, the Recording Academy honors musical acts for their achievements in the industry. The ceremony, broadcast from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, features performances by many of the industry's top performers. Scheduled performers include Daft Punk, Kendrick Lamar, Imagine Dragons, P!nk and Nate Reuss. Artists nominated for this year's Album of the Year, considered the most-prestigious award at the ceremony, are Sara Bareilles, Daft Punk, Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Taylor Swift. Jay-Z leads all artists with nine nominations overall, including Best Rap Album. LL Cool J returns as host for the third consecutive year.
