Airing since 2001, The Amazing Race is a reality TV show that has 24 teams of 2 competing for a cash prize of $1,000,000. The teams travel around the world, trying to get from one checkpoint to the next without being eliminated. Teams are selected by the network, and are normally people in relationships, or family members. During the different legs across the world, tensions rise between the teams. There are different pit stops along the way that force team members to do different tasks. From eating disgusting foods to performing juggling acts, one chosen teammate normally performs a task to move on to the next round. In the last episode 3 teams are left to compete in the last leg of the race. The first team to make it to the checkpoint wins the grand prize of $1,000,000.
