This programme documents end-of-the-century British music and culture as seen through the eyes of post-punk musicians. Inspired by early-'80s predecessors like The Human League and ClockDVA, post-punk musicians, including Jarvis Cocker, set out to make their mark on the Sheffield music scene. By the end of the decade, the rapid rise of DJs leads guitar bands to face extinction. But industrial funk musicians are able to adapt and survive the changing music scene.
