This psychological drama series features a mysterious man, known simply as The Man, who sits in a booth at the end of a diner. People come to the man seeking favours - parents looking for their sick children to be cured or women who want to be prettier among them. The Man can fulfil these requests ... for a price. In order to do what they want, he requires the people too sacrifice their morals and do deeds they would normally consider to be inconceivable. Among the tasks The Man assigns are setting off bombs, robbing banks and even killing children. After performing the task, the person must return to the diner to describe to The Man how it went, detailing every step. But The Man never forces anyone to do anything - it's always up to them to decide whether or not to do the task he assigns them, leaving them to decide how far they will go to get what they want.
