Four young American girls looking for husbands find that the New York society is not quite partial to their ‘new money’ status and creates difficulties for them. Their search for an eligible husband takes them to England where the girls mingle with the English aristocracy and soon find the men of their dreams. However, after the nuptials, their dream unions start unravelling as they learn that their husband’s interests lie in places where they can never be.
