Joanna is struggling to cope with life as a new mother, and when she and husband Alistair travel with baby Noah from Scotland to Australia, she is completely exhausted by the journey. The knowledge that they are making the trip to fight for custody of Alistair's 14-year-old daughter from his previous marriage does not lighten the emotional load. When an unthinkable tragedy strikes the young family, they find themselves caught under the searing spotlight of the media while trying to piece their lives back together.
