Actor Adrian Edmondson returns to Yorkshire, the county of his birth, to help tell the stories behind a summer in the Yorkshire Dales. The Dales are a sight to see but are also a challenging environment for the people who live in some of the remote communities there. Edmondson, who used to spend summers in the Dales with his family when he was a kid, profiles year-round residents of the area amonst landmarks such as Bolton Abbey. Among the people profiled are a teenager who has left school and is now running the family farm and a shepherdess who balances running a sheep farm with raising her five children.
