Relationships are tested when a child goes missing in this drama that takes place in two timelines - 2008, when the child first disappeared, and 2013. In the hours following an annual neighbourhood barbecue during which alcohol consumption caused tempers to flare, young Callum Reid went missing. The neighbourhood is changed forever after that fateful night, especially when the nightmare resumes on the eve of the fifth anniversary of the disappearance as the boy's body is found, buried just yards away from his family's home. A new investigation begins, led by DC Maggie Brand, who was pregnant when Callum went missing and had to step down from the original investigation due to debilitating morning sickness. She leaves no stone unturned in her attempt to discover what happened to Callum, even risking her own happy family life with husband Jed and young son Sam.
