In the overnight hours of March 26, 2024, a fully-loaded container ship lost power shortly after departing the Port of Baltimore and crashed into the Francis Scott Key Bridge. Within seconds the Baltimore City skyline was forever changed. A new documentary, "Key Bridge Disaster: Reflect, Recover, Rebuilt," is a joint production of WBAL-TV and Maryland Public Television. For the first time, we hear from the brave men and women who rushed to the scene of the collapse of the Key Bridge, diving into the murky waters of the Patapsco River in a desperate search for survivors. The documentary spans an entire year, exploring the economic impact of the collapse, including the shutdown of one of the busiest ports on the east coast, and the beginning of the rebuild.
