Martin Hurdle is a seemingly normal maintenance man at a large pharmaceutical company who is concealing an unusual talent. He has an uncanny ability to mimic voices, which isn't all that helpful to Martin in his personal or professional lives. But he decides it may be time to stop hiding the talent when he gets surprising news from former lover Dionne - he could be the father of her teenage son, Steven - because Martin thinks the voices may help him cope with the unexpected development.
