The Office is a revolutionary comedy based on the British show of the same name. The show depicts the days of the employees working at Dunder Mifflin, a paper company in Scranton, Pennsylvania, through the eyes of a documentary crew. The episodes are shot in single frames to give a real feel of a live documentary, also coined as a ‘mockumentary.’ At the head of this office division is Michael Scott (Steve Carell), an ignorant and deluded boss who couldn’t care less for his employees. Also working in the office is Jim (John Krasinski), a very talented but often bored salesman, Dwight (Rainn Wilson), a very bizarre character who is always trying to brown nose Michael, and Pam (Jenna Fischer) the office receptionist. Along with several other employees, the show gives insight into the complicated and peculiar lives of the average working class at Dunder Mifflin.
