Most singing competitions use music-industry professionals as judges to determine a winner. Not `The Singer Takes It All', which gives viewers control of the judging using a real-time mobile app. Budding singers hit the 18-meter-long stage each week to perform and receive instant feedback from the voting viewers. Each viewer gets four votes per performance to determine whether the singer is a hit or miss. A `hit' vote moves the singer forward along the stage's moving track into the Gold Zone at the front of the stage, while a vote of `miss' pushes them backward and off the track. At the end of each episode, the singer who spent the longest time in the Gold Zone performs one more time with a chance to walk away with a cash prize.
