The story of the making of The Rolling Stones' 1972 album 'Exile on Main Street', told through interviews with band members and other musicians and crew members, archive clips, and contemporary footage. While making the album, the group fled to the French Riviera to avoid huge tax bills owed to the UK. Life in France was chaotic for the legendary rockers, involving lots of drugs and alcohol, but through it all, the band still managed to make one of the seminal albums in rock 'n' roll history.
