The New River winds its way through three states, West Virginia, Virginia and North Carolina, and countless communities who have depended on its bounty for generations. At 360 miles in length, the river is designated an American Heritage River and is part of the National Wild and Scenic River System. It is an ancient river, and one of the five oldest rivers in the world.
