Rory and The Summoner are best friends and roommates, even though it makes no sense. Rory is 23 and finding his way in the world, and The Summoner is a magical alien that has the ability to summon anything to its present location, although it never summons anything useful. Down the hall from their shared apartment is Shannon, the love of Rory's life -- or she will be if she ever notices him and remembers his name. In the meantime, Rory and The Summoner learn to lean on each other to get by.
