Young biographer Margaret Lea reluctantly agrees to interview legendary writer Vida Winter, whose health is fading and has refused to reveal the dark secrets of her life, including at childhood home Angelfield, until now. Lea gets the reclusive writer, through a shared empathy between the women, to reveal the details of her past. Hearing the details of Winter's life story forces Lea to finally confront her own demons. The 90-minute drama is adapted from Diane Setterfield's novel of the same name.
