This four-part series, a follow-up to the film `This Is England', takes place in 1986 as Shaun finishes his last exam in school and realises he now has to find his way in the world. On his own after the gang is broken up, the hapless young man is a magnet for trouble. Until a chance encounter leads to a reunion with Woody, Lol, Smell and the others. The members of the newly reformed gang look for love, jobs and something that resembles a future.
