A family holiday turns to tragedy in this ITV miniseries. Sarah, David and their children are spending what should be a happy afternoon on the beach when a misunderstanding results in their oldest child, Alice, becoming lost. Ultimately the child is presumed drowned, but no body is ever found, and Sarah is unable to give up hope of finding her daughter alive, seeing the child in every young girl she meets on the street. Twelve years after the incident she spots yet another young girl she thinks could be her lost daughter - and this time, a shocking secret is revealed.
