`Treasures of the British Library' follows a line-up of famous faces as they select their favourite items from the institution's archives. Taking part in the first series is musician Jamie Cullum, Professor Robert Winston, comedian Meera Syal and poet Benjamin Zephaniah. In each episode a star guest takes viewers on a personal tour of the British Library's collection as they share their own interests, life stories and passions. Up first is Winston, who reveals literature that inspires him before making his own contribution to the library's catalogue.
