Contrary to what people may think, monsters aren't just in movies and TV shows. "True Monsters" tries to separate fact from fiction when it comes to tales of terrifying monsters, awe-inspiring myths and timeless legends throughout history. Re-creations help bring the creatures to life as experts examine how the myths and legends have evolved over time. Among the stories explored are a devil that lives deep in the woods of New Jersey and a Revolutionary War-era banshee that still curses the North Carolina woods.
