Residents of the small American town of Chester Mill in Maine find themselves cut off from the rest of the world by a large, invisible force field that has completely severed all mediums of communication and contact with the outside world. As supplies dwindle, tensions begin to rise as the townsfolk must work together to survive this ordeal whilst they try to determine what the force field is, why it is affecting them and what they will have to do in order to be rid of it.
