NYPD Detective Carrie Wells (Poppy Montgomery) suffers from hyperthymesia, a rare medical condition that give her the ability to visually remember everything she sees. When her partner and former boyfriend Lt. Al Burns (Dylan Walsh) asks for her help in the homicide unit, she reluctantly agrees, joining in on cases while attempting to put the piece's of her sister's murder together. Together with medical examiner Dr. Joanne Webster (Jane Curtin), they use Carrie's abilities to bring criminals to justice. The show was initially cancelled after the first season, but one year later CBS brought Unforgettable back to the air.
