Each episode of "Verses and Flow" features spoken-word and musical performances from poets and R&B singers that are anchored in contemporary cultural, political and social topics. After taping in Atlanta for its first season, subsequent seasons have been filmed at the Belasco Theater in downtown Los Angeles. The roster of talent that has graced the "Verses and Flow" stage includes musical acts Faith Evans, Jill Scott and Bel Biv Devoe along with poets Ainsley Burrows, Ed Mabrey, Joyce Lee and Soulful Jones.
