Warren Kingsley is a pudgy, 30-something kitchen salesman who cares about two things: his family and his football, and not necessarily in that order. He is a devoted husband to his Dutch wife, Ingrid, and a fun-loving dad to son Harrison and daughter Charlie, but nothing comes between Warren and his beloved Brainsford United football club, a chronically struggling outfit known to its long-suffering fans as `The Meringues'. A kid at heart as a football fan, Warren stumbles through life trying to balance his sporting passion and family responsibilities.
