Washington Week

1967-Present News Magazine

This round table talk show includes some of Washington's best journalists to discuss the past week's major events. Washington Week, which originated as 'Washing Week in Review,' was first broadcast in February 1967, making it the longest running show of its type on PBS. Gwen Ifill has been hosting the show since 1999, when it was renamed, and has been a staple in the prime time line-up for PBS for nearly 50 years. Gwen is the moderator and managing editor for Washington Week and the co-anchor and managing editor of the 'PBS NewsHour.'
